Target sizes are approximate. The tool steps the quality down until the file lands close to your target while keeping the picture usable. Very detailed photos may land slightly above a small target.

  • Government and exam forms that demand a photo under 50 KB or 100 KB.
  • Email attachments that keep bouncing for being too large.
  • Website images, where a lighter file means a faster page and better rankings.
  • WhatsApp or messaging uploads where large photos are slow on a weak connection.

How to get the best result

  • Start with the largest original you have. Compressing an already compressed file loses more quality.
  • Use JPG for photographs and PNG only when you need a transparent background.
  • If the result looks soft, pick the next target size up. A 100 KB photo usually looks noticeably better than a 20 KB one.
Are my photos uploaded to your server?

No. The compression happens inside your browser using your own device. Your images are never sent anywhere, never stored and never seen by us. Disconnect from the internet after the page loads and the tool still works.

Why is my file not exactly the size I asked for?

Image compression cannot hit an exact byte count without destroying quality. The tool aims just under your target and stops at the best quality that fits. Simple images compress far below the target, detailed ones sit closer to it.

Can I compress several images at once?

Yes. Add as many as you like and they are processed one after another, then downloaded together.

Will it change the dimensions?

Only if it must. The tool reduces quality first and only scales the picture down when quality alone cannot reach a very small target.
