Terms of Service

Scope of work

Every project begins with a written scope covering what will be built, the agreed timeline and the price. Work outside that scope is quoted separately before it starts.

Payment

Unless agreed otherwise, projects are invoiced in stages, with an advance before work begins and the balance before the site goes live. Applicable GST is added to all invoices.

Ownership

On final payment, the source code, database and content of your project belong to you. Third party components keep their own licences. We may show the work in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.

Client responsibilities

You provide content, images, approvals and access to accounts such as hosting and Google. Delays in providing these move the timeline by the same amount.

Marketing results

We work to improve visibility and enquiries, and we report honestly on what happens. We do not guarantee specific search positions, because no agency controls how a search engine ranks a page.

Support and maintenance

Every project includes a defined support period after launch for fixing faults in what we built. Ongoing maintenance, hosting and new features are covered by a separate agreement.

Liability

Our liability for any project is limited to the fees paid for it. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profit or lost data where backups were declined.
