Refund Policy

No refund once payment is made

All payments made to Cognition Venture are final and non-refundable. This applies to advances, stage payments, full project payments, monthly retainers and any other fee, whether the work has started or not.

We work this way because a project is scheduled and staffed the moment it is confirmed. That time is reserved for you and cannot be resold at short notice.

Why we can still say that fairly

Nothing is charged before you know exactly what you are buying. Every project begins with a written scope stating what will be built, what is included, what is not, the timeline and the fixed price. You approve that scope before any invoice is raised. If the scope is not right, that is the moment to say so.

We would rather turn a project down than take money for something we do not think will work. If we believe a cheaper or simpler option would serve you better, we will tell you before you pay.

What you still get

• The work described in the agreed scope, delivered in full.
• Correction of any fault in what we built, free, during the support period included with the project.
• Ownership of the source code and your data on final payment.
• Honest reporting on marketing work, including when something is not performing.

Changes and cancellation

If you cancel a project after payment, the amount already paid is not returned. Work completed up to that point is handed over to you. If you later restart, we will credit what is reasonable against the new scope, at our discretion.

Work outside the agreed scope is quoted separately and only begins once you approve it. You will never be billed for something you did not agree to.

Third party costs

Domains, hosting, licences, stock images and advertising spend are paid to those providers and follow their own refund rules, not ours. Advertising spend passes straight to Google or Meta from your own account and cannot be recovered by us.

If something has gone wrong

Any dispute that cannot be resolved is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts at Malda, West Bengal, India.
